As I’ve started this whole wedding planning process, searching for a venue has been one of the biggest items on my to-do list. As a photographer I knew it was super important for me to find a space with lots of natural light, a beautiful ambiance, and plenty of space for all of our friends and family!
While Joe was unable to join me for these tours since he is in California, my mom and sister tagged along while we visited ten different central Indiana wedding venues. I truly cannot say enough great things about every single one of these places. Making a decision was SO hard because each of these venues are truly incredible. I am so grateful for how helpful each and every person was that toured us, they truly have made this process so much fun rather than stressful! I’ll be sharing these ten venues in the order that we toured them, and stay tuned until the end to find out what we ended up picking!
INDUSTRY
located in downtown Indianapolis
My favorite parts about this venue include the modern industrial vibe, the beautiful bridal suite, the string lights that hang from the ceiling, and that they let you bring in all of your own vendors (excluding alcohol). This is definitely the venue for the unique bride who wants to be able to personalize every single aspect of her big day. You can work from their recommended list of caterers and vendors, or use anyone your heart desires! I so enjoyed touring INDUSTRY and beginning our search here!
Biltwell Event Center
located in downtown Indianapolis
My favorite part about the Biltwell is the history and grandness of it all! This building used to be a door and window manufacturer and still has many of its original components built into it today. There is tons of natural light, tall ceilings, an outdoor patio on the second floor, and an amazing space for both the ceremony/reception and cocktail hour. They provide a quick and easy room flip making the transition from ceremony to reception seamless! This venue is definitely for the bride with the large guest count as it can seat up to 450!
Barn at Bay Horse Inn
located in Greenwood, IN
My favorite parts about this venue are the beautiful chandeliers, high ceilings, and beautiful fireplace! This venue also has a stunning outdoor space for ceremonies and beautiful grounds for photographs. I would recommend this venue to the bride going for a rustic, country feel for their wedding!
Iron and Ember
located in Carmel, IN
Located in Brookshire Golf Club, this venue is absolutely stunning! I loved the simplicity of it all, from the modern, minimalistic feel, and absolutely beautiful fireplace. This venue is so beautiful it speaks for itself! Iron and Ember seats 200 and is definitely for the bride looking to have a smaller, more intimate wedding.
White Willow Farms
located in Arcadia, IN
WOW is all I have to say about this venue. From the moment you pull up, it truly is so beautiful! I love the beautiful beams inside the barn, stunning white interior and exterior, as well as the incredible bride and grooms suites. My absolute favorite part of the venue is the outdoor chapel. Pictures truly don’t do this chapel justice! The views and the ambiance are stunning and so unique. I wanted to stay out there and just look at it forever! I recommend this venue to the laid back bride who is looking for a venue that doesn’t need much decor because it is so beautiful itself! This is definitely one of my very favorites.
The Ritz Charles chapel + Garden Pavillion
located in Carmel, IN
This venue is absolutely beautiful! From the newly renovated ballroom, to the breathtaking simplicity of the chapel, and the stunning draped ceilings in the garden Pavillion, The Ritz Charles truly has so much to offer. They also have an amazing grooms room complete with a ping pong table! I’d recommend this venue to the classic bride looking for a stunning, elegant atmosphere for her big day.
The Bridgewater Club
located in Carmel, IN
The Bridgewater Club is currently undergoing a MAJOR renovation and it was so fun to have a sneak peak into this process on our venue tour! I love the white walls, high ceilings in the cocktail hour space, and beautiful view of the golf course. I’d recommend this venue to the bride looking for a newly updated, never before seen space to hold the day of her dreams!
Black iris estate
located in Carmel, IN
Growing up in a neighborhood close to Black Iris Estate, I remember growing up always dreaming of having my wedding there one day! Getting an inside look to this incredible mansion was so exciting. The house has so much of its original character and the ballroom is absolutely stunning! The ceiling has so much detail and the chandeliers are beautiful. The grounds of the estate are my favorite part and would make for amazing photos!
Daniel’s Vineyard
located in Fishers, IN
This venue is truly SO unique and makes you feel as though you’re in Napa or Tuscany, not Indiana! From the incredible vineyard views, amazing wine selection, grand ballroom, and outstanding bride and grooms suites, this venue has it all! The ambiance when you pull onto the property speaks for itself, and I truly cannot say enough great things about Daniel’s Vineyard!!!
Our decision…
After lots of conversation and multiple visits back to our favorite place, we landed on Daniel’s Vineyard! Joe and I truly could not be more excited to get married here! Jessica at Daniel’s has been dream to work with so far and we are so excited to continue all of the fun wedding planning + festivities!
